Why stay in a villa rather than a hotel?
 
 

Hotel accommodation in the Disney area can be very expensive and the facilities restrictive. You have a whole house providing you with much more space than one hotel room, and you don't have to share a pool with anyone else.

Where is the villa located?

Our villa is part of the Sandy Ridge community in Davenport, on the 532, just 3 miles from Champions Gate and the I4. It is within 10 minutes of Walt Disney World.

How many people can stay in the villa?

The villa has 4 bedrooms, three of which can sleep 2 people, and the fourth can sleep 3 people. The prices shown are for the villa, not per person, so if you do not fill the villa to capacity there is no occupancy penalty.

Could two families share the villa?

The villa is perfectly suited to two families sharing, as it has two master bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms as well as a family bathroom for the two further twin rooms. Guests can spread out across the living room, dining room and kitchen, as well as the outdoor area and games room –meaning that everyone should be able to find their own space to relax.

How do we pay for the holiday?

A deposit of 20% is required to confirm the booking. The remainder of the
payment will be required 60 days prior to the date of the booking. Cheques and bank transfers are the most secure forms of payment at this time.

How do I make a reservation?

Just email or call us, and as long as we have availability, we will confirm the booking within a couple of days.

What happens when we arrive?

When your reservation is secure, you will receive a welcome note from our management company in Orlando, with all the details on how to pick up the keys and get to the villa. We ask that you check in no earlier than 4pm on the day of arrival and depart no later than 10am on the day of departure. This allows us sufficient time between guests to ensure the property is clean and ready for the next guests.

Who do we turn to if there is a problem while we are at the villa?

We employ a local property management company, Villa Direct, to look after the day to day running of the villa. They are friendly and helpful and are on call 24 hours a day for any problems you may have. Their contact details are available at the property, and the toll-free telephone service provides a free and easy route contact to them.

What about towels, soap and toilet paper?

The villa is equipped with bathroom towels and towels for use around the pool. The cleaning team will leave a bar of soap and toilet paper in each bathroom ready for your arrival. Any additional bathroom supplies will be your responsibility.

Can we smoke at the villa?

We have strict no smoking policy, and any damage caused from any guest smoking will be treated very severely.

Is the pool heated?

The pool is naturally warm in the summer months, but you may wish to use the facility of pool heating from October to April. There is a small extra charge for this, bookable in advance.

Is there a maid service?

The villa is professionally cleaned between guests, although we can arrange cleaning services during your stay if you wish, for an additional fee. The villa is equipped with a dishwasher, washer, dryer, iron and ironing board to help during your stay

How secure is the villa?

There are smoke alarms and fire extinguishers fitted in accordance with Florida State Law. There is a burglar alarm, the house is monitored by Brinks Security Services, and the community is also serviced by their own security company. There is a removable safety screen across the outdoor deck, to ensure that young children cannot access the pool without adult supervision. Plastic crockery is provided for dining by the pool.

What will the weather be like when we arrive?

While we can't guarentee exactly what the weather will be like when you stay at Hammock Court Villa, we do have a pretty clear idea of how the weather will be for the period that you stay, based on the monthly averages.

Please note that, because of the sub-tropical nature of Florida's climate, rain storms can be sudden and heavy. So in peak months of rainfall (June through September), rain typically falls daily in the afternoon for a short period before clearing to give superb weather.
